Staying With Us
We call it Crafty Camping - luxury 'glamping' in an adults-only, hand-crafted environment.
Stay with us and our cosy bell tents and beautiful yurts, tipi and shepherds hut can be your home-from-home. You don't have to attend a course to enjoy our wonderful 'glamping' facilities, which include woodland showers, a sauna yurt and a communal yurt with games and craft library, while the 'Out of Africa' kitchen and pizza oven further help ensure a restful holiday with a difference.
We offer a peaceful woodland setting in Dorset, near to the Jurassic Coast 'World Heritage Site' and perfect for a short break or longer holiday. We're close to Devon and Somerset too - so we make a great base for exploring all three counties.
Green Woodwork Courses
Our one, two, three and five-day green woodworking courses are suitable for everyone: novices and experienced woodworkers; interested amateurs or anyone just keen to try something new. We also offer two-hour 'have a go' courses if you'd just like to try your hand.
Projects range from carving a bowl or a spoon to making a chair from a tree. Our location is idyllic - in woodland that's cool and shady in the summer, warm and cosy in the winter.
We provide all the materials needed, personally and locally sourced as much as possible. For the more experienced woodworker, there's also the option to hire a fully equipped 'bodger's shelter'.
The workshop, with or without accommodation, is available for hire in its entirety - as a venue for team building activities or family and group events. The Woodland Workshop is a unique location for film and TV work and was one of the venues for the BBC's 'Mastercrafts' series.
