There are three different 'taster' courses:

An introduction to general green woodworking skills, including the pole lathe and shaving horse. This is a one day version of the two-day Pole Lathe and Green Woodworking course.

An introduction to spoon carving - a shorter version of the full two day spoon carving course.

Family green woodworking - a one day version of the two-day Pole Lathe and Green Woodworking course, specifically designed to introduce children to green woodworking skills. This is suitable for children aged 10 and up. NOTE that an adult must accompany each child. (So, one child plus one adult; two children plus two adults.)

All courses are one-day, starting at 10am and finishing at 4pm. Please bring your own packed lunch.

All courses cost £250, and may be attended by between one and four people with the cost divided accordingly. This approach means guests can have private one-to-one tuition or can attend as part of a group of two, three or four, as appropriate.
